In this automotive product liability litigation proceeding, plaintiffs Jesus Vidal Rodriguez and Daniela Vidal Rodriguez alleged Bridgestone / Firestone North American Tire, LLC of being liable for manufacturing defective and badly designed tires and Ford Motor Co Inc of being liable for placing them on its ‘Ford Explorer’ line of SUVs, due to which their son, Jesus Alfonso Vidal Ramirez got killed in a car accident which happened while he was driving a 1998 Ford Explorer along a federal highway in San Luis Potosi, Mexico. The plaintiffs are Mexican citizens who have been unsuccessfully seeking to hold the defendants liable in Mexican courts.

The plaintiffs were represented by attorneys Robert Langdon, Richard Denney Lydia Barrett and Adam Graves. The defense in this case comprised of Bridgestone / Firestone North American Tire, LLC and Ford Motor Co Inc. Bridgestone / Firestone North American Tire, LLC was represented by attorneys Scott Edwards and Marc Brosseau. Ford Motor co Inc was represented by attorneys Warren Platt and Stephen Marcum.
